Josef Anders is the new improvised techno alias of Denver-based modular synth artist Alex Anderson, best known for his output of house music as ALX-106.

Created as an outlet for fully live, modular-driven performances, Josef Anders channels over a decade of deep involvement in the modular world, including more than 10 years working with WMD, where he designs and sells Eurorack modular synthesizers.

His sound is driving and hypnotic, blending minimal textures, hip-hop–influenced breakbeats, and the raw energy of his background as a drummer in punk and math rock bands. A frequent collaborator with Trovarsi, he has shared stages as Trovarsi & ALX-106 alongside artists such as Colin Benders, 999999999, and Octave One, appearing at festivals including Fusion Festival and Re//Form.

With Josef Anders, he steps deeper into pure, high-impact improvisation. Hypnotic. Physical.
